Private Car Seat Check:

Did you know that around 8 in 10 car seats are installed incorrectly? A car seat check with a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician will help you learn how to use and install your car seat correctly, and what your next steps you will want to keep in mind when the child outgrows their current seat.

Before your car seat check, we will ask you to provide us with some preliminary information about the child, the seat, the vehicle, and others who regularly ride in that car. We will help you determine if the seat is appropriate for your child, and the best place in the vehicle for it to be installed.

During the check we will provide hands on education about installation and harnessing. We want YOU to learn how to install the seat, so that you are able to do it yourself when it needs to be moved.

After the fitting, we will follow up with an email to remind you what you learned, and what your next steps will be moving forward. Expect the check to be about 1 hour per seat.

Pricing:

At our location in Post Falls: $25 each for the first 2 seats, $10 for each additional seat after 2.

Home visit: $50 each for the first 2 seats, $10 for each additional seat after 2. Federal mileage reimbursement rates apply for visits further than 15 minutes from Post Falls.

In addition to these private seat checks, Amy also volunteers her time with Spokane Safe Kids to provide grant funded free seat checks at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, Washington. If cost is a concern to you, please schedule an appointment here. https://psjhcrmwebsites.microsoftcrmportals.com/home?region=WA&ministry=PSHMCCH&keywords=Car%20Seat%20Inspection

Private Babywearing Consult:

In-person babywearing help can make all the difference! Whether you need help with a carrier you already own, want help finding a new carrier, or learning a new carry, a private babywearing consult can be just the ticket! We offer private in store consultations after hours, in home consults (we can bring demo carriers to you!) or virtual appointments to help with a carrier you already own. If you purchased your carrier from Inland Mama, you may schedule either an in store or virtual consult free of charge.

Before the consult, we will reach out to you with questions about your goals for the session, so we can make sure to have the right tools on hand.

Pricing:

After hours at our location in Post Falls: $30/ hour

Home Visit: $50/hr, 2 hr minimum. Federal mileage reimbursement rates apply for visits further than 15 minutes from Post Falls.

Virtual: $15/30 minute consult

In addition to private consults, we also offer drop in help in our store (please keep in mind that this may not be one on one instruction if we are helping other customers). We also work closely with Spokane Babywearing, a local not for profit group that supports parents and caregivers in the Spokane/CDA area through classes, meet ups, and library of carriers for learning and lending. If cost is a barrier for you, please reach out to either hello@inlandmama.com or to Spokane Babywearing so that we can better help you.

Cloth Diaper Planning Consult:

In addition to group cloth diapering classes, we offer one on one appointments to help parents and caregivers plan out their goals and needs for cloth diapering and what products they will want to register for or have on hand. We’ll discuss what your goals are for cloth diapering, what your budget is, and what products and wash routines will best help you to meet that goal. You’ll leave with a shopping list and laundry routine.

Pricing:

In store, after hours: $30/1 hour, with a private cloth diaper workshop (plan for 3 hours): $150 with a $100 in-store credit to be used that same day.

A note on pricing: We firmly believe that car seat safety information should be accessible to everyone, babywearing is a public health tool, and cloth diapering information should be accessible to all families. We also believe that the knowledge, resources, and time that go into this work are valuable and that people who devote themselves to this work should be paid. Therefore we try to balance our paid work with volunteering and community outreach. In addition to our paid services, we have listed information about the organizations we volunteer and partner with.
